Cowboys and Samurai
The North/Eastern-most section of town, Roku’s Nest is marked by buildings owned almost exclusively by native Rokugani. These buildings are nothing more than thatched huts with some of them on stilts over the water. Roku’s Nest, was originally a small native fishing village that has since been absorbed into the city. It was in this village, originally name Ryokosha Muza(Friendly Traveller Village), that the Avillonians first made contact with the Natives. It was renamed Roku’s Nest because foreigners couldn’t pronounce the name and coined the phrase to indicate “where those Roku’s (Rokugani) live”. The Rokugani who live there, on the whole, live in squallor.
